Character Info
Name: Evan Summers
Nickname: 'Hotshot' by some of his..peers. Sometimes sarcastic, sometimes not.
Appearance:
Age: 28
Reason for being on 815: Wasn't..He's an OTHER
History (Before Crash): Evan Summers was born into poverty in a slummy district of Las Vegas, Nevada. His mother was a single mother, and did everything she could with what little she had to make sure he had a solid upbringing. It was tough because they lived in a bad neighborhood and didn't have the means to relocate. Evan witnessed crimes of all sorts, and was involved in one of the worst.
One night, as fifteen year old Evan and his mother Daisy were carrien groceries home from the corner store, Evan's paper bag ripped and the cans of soup and things that served as dinner spilled onto the ground. They were close to their rundown apartment, so his mother kept on going ahead to open the door for them. But as she passed the alley next to their complex..A man grabbed her and dragged her screaming into the alley.
Evan, acting on instinct, sprinted into the middle of the situation, leaving the canned goods on the pavement. As soon as he rounded the corner, he heard a gunshot that stopped him in his tracks. Flinching, he opened his eyes to see his mother's body hit the ground. Another round was fired, and this one clipped young Evan in the shoulder. He fell to the ground and was knocked out as his head hit the cement.
He woke in a hospital, with a bandage around his head and arm. A female doctor came into the room and told him, with great remorse, that his mother was dead.
This was the news that shaped the rest of his life. Evan lived out the three years until he was 18 in a Vegas orphanage, and then enrolled in a police academy program. It was quickly established that he was a crack shot, he never missed. He never told anyone that each time he fired a bullet..he was imagining that his target was the man that'd taken his mom away from him.
Somehow, on his very first day as a real police officer..Evan was thrust into a situation that required him to make use of his weapon. He was in the midst of issuing a warning to a kid named Zack without a helmet, when he heard "Give me your wallet, Mother****er!" Evan told the kids to hide, and stepped into the alley where he knew something was going down. He drew his gun..
A man in a suit with dark hair was being held at gunpoint. Evandidn't think. Two squeezes of the trigger. Knee, forearm. Both exploded into blood. The man crumpled to one knee, and the gun went flying as the bullet hit near his elbow. it wasn't even a second before Evan had the gun against his head. He'd successfully put him out of commission. The man, somehow smiling, introduced himself as Richard Alpert...
Seven days later, Evan Summers found himself stepping out of the top of a submarine onto the island. He had been recruited by the man he had saved, to 'serve a greater purpose'. He had been assigned the mission of teaching the other islanders how to shoot to perfection, and to maintain the armory. He was told that the weapons were to keep the wildlife at bay, but somehow he wasn't convinced..
Only days after he arrived on the island, a certain plane broke apart above the island, and apparently there were survivors...
